Jeff joined Sampson McPhee in July of 2019 after articling with Nova Scotia Legal Aid and being called to the Bar. Jeff’s main areas of practice include criminal law and family law.
Jeff received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cape Breton University where he was awarded the Angus Morrison Memorial Scholarship for the highest academic standing in the History Program. In 2018 Jeff received his Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. While in Law School, Jeff worked at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service and volunteered with the Island Community Justice Society.
Jeff has appeared before the Nova Scotia Small Claims Court, Provincial Court, Supreme Court and Supreme Court Family Division. Jeff has also appeared before the Eskasoni Provincial Court and the Aboriginal Wellness/Gladue Court in Wagmatcook First Nation.
Jeff is pleased to have the opportunity to practice law at home in Cape Breton and looks forward to working with clients to achieve results which are fair and just.
