After receiving a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University in 2013, Justin returned to Nova Scotia to article with a large regional law firm in Halifax. Following his call to the Bar in 2014, Justin continued with that firm as an associate in the litigation practice group before relocating to Sydney and joining Sampson McPhee in 2017.
Justin’s practice consists primarily of civil litigation. As a litigator, Justin has represented individuals and corporations involved in actual and anticipated lawsuits including contract disputes and negligence claims. While working in Halifax, a large part of Justin’s practice was representing large financial institutions and insurance companies. In addition to his general commercial litigation practice, Justin now assists clients in negotiating with and taking action against insurance companies in order to recover damages under their automobile and property insurance policies. Justin has appeared before Nova Scotia’s Small Claims Court, Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and Court of Appeal.
