Robert Risk

Rob has developed a broad-based legal practice, with an emphasis on commercial transactions, real estate and criminal law. He offers his clients cost effective and practical solutions to their legal issues, ranging from the routine to the most complex. Rob is experienced in both dispute resolution and negotiating techniques. If these approaches fail, he has the skills to successfully represent his clients in all levels of court.

Rob completed his Bachelor of Laws degree at Dalhousie University. He is particularly proud of having been awarded the Maritime Law Book Prize in Legal Professional Responsibility and Ethics upon his graduation. Rob articled and worked for two major Halifax downtown firms before returning to his native Sydney to practice with Sampson McPhee.

Rob is active in the community and presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the St. Joseph’s Lebanese and Syrian Benevolent Society. He is a past board member of the Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce, Destination Cape Breton and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Research Ethics Board.
